How it works

On your device, not mine.

A free image metadata remover that runs in your browser. It removes the hidden details saved inside a photo: where and when it was taken, which camera or app made it, and the prompt text AI image generators store. Your image is never uploaded.

  1. 1Drop one or more JPG, PNG or WebP images.
  2. 2The tool lists the hidden details it found in each file.
  3. 3It saves a fresh copy of the picture with none of that attached.
  4. 4Download the clean copy.

Fair questions.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is processed by your own browser on your own device. It is never sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone else to see, store or leak. You can confirm this by switching your internet off after the page loads; the tool keeps working.

What does it remove?

Everything saved alongside the picture itself: the location it was taken, the date, the camera or phone model, the app that edited it, content credentials, and the prompt and settings that AI image generators such as Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI write into the file. (If you're searching by technical name: EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC and C2PA data.)

Does it remove invisible AI watermarks?

No. Watermarks such as Google's SynthID are part of the picture itself, not hidden details attached to the file, and this tool does not touch them. Removing metadata does not make an AI-generated image human-made, and you should still disclose AI use where a platform or the law requires it.

Will the image quality change?

PNG files keep exactly the same quality. JPG and WebP files are saved again at high quality, so you won't see a difference in normal use.
